1. Flavored yogurt
Everyone loves to have a cup of flavored yogurt every once in a while but did you know that flavored yogurts are extremely high in sugar and artificial flavoring? Studies show that you can only have up to 38 grams of sugar for men and 25 grams of sugar for women daily to stay healthy and a single serving of flavored yogurt contains up to 47 grams!
Try to make your own flavored yogurt at home by adding in some fresh or dried fruits. Yogurt is very good for the digestive tract and will help you obtain healthy bacteria which your gut needs to stay healthy.
Soy and soy products are genetically modified and may cause a longterm side effect on your health. Soy also contains an estrogen compound that interferes with growth known as a phytoestrogen. Researchers have also found that eating fresh vegetables that are rich in protein is healthier than eating soy produce.
3. Anything with a straw
Polls and surveys show that many people who use a straw to drink juices or beverages develop premature wrinkles and fine lines around the mouth more than others. Collagen breaks down in the facial skin after the age of 25, therefore, it is highly recommended that you refrain from using straws to consume liquid. Although everyone gets wrinkles eventually but using straws will speed up the process.
4. Farmed fish
Almost 70% of the fish found in the market is farmed! This is really sad because farmed fish are fed with foods filled with antibiotics and worst of all, due to overpopulation in small fish ponds, these fish swim in each other’s poop! Try getting fresh sea or river fish instead of farmed fish.
5. White bread
White bread has absolutely no nutrition whatsoever, there are no vitamins or minerals in white bread, the only thing you are going to get out of eating white bread is high blood sugar! 6. Fruit juice
Most, if not all commercial fruit juices contain added sugar and artificial flavoring plus coloring, they are also pasteurized which destroys most of the nutrients present in the juice.
